Why yes, I rapped my way into the new year.

So we're at this bar/restaurant/grocery store/gas station (indeed, a place like this is real!) last night and they have karaoke. Now, the people I'm with (only a small group of 4) are NOT karaoke-ers. Two of us are music teachers and two of us are shy about singing. I'm just shit at singing so I avoid making an ass of myself. Somehow, the DJ convinces us to just look at the list of songs to see if there is anything worth trying out. We ponder and ponder until I see it: "Without Me" by Eminem. Now, I know that song by heart after listening to it many time the summer it was popular (2004 maybe? ) and Chris knows this. So he writes my name on the card with the track number and after I fight him about giving it to the DJ, I walk up to the DJ and handed it to him myself. And then I rapped without me including all the expletive words that the Karaoke version didn't include.I got most of the bar (maybe about 15 people) to sing with me and I performed some dance moves as much as I could while rapping. Which, if any of you have rapped before know, it is not easy. Then we got our champagne, counted down to the new year, kissed, had our DD drive us home and snuggled into bed.
That was how I spent my last night of 2012.
